Queensland police say the victims of a machete attack in Rockhampton have terrible wounds to their legs, arms and bodies.
Six people suffered wounds in an attack by two men who forced their way into a house in the central Queensland city on Wednesday night.
Four of them have serious, but not life-threatening, injuries and will need surgery, police say.
Regional Crime Coordinator Darren Shadlow says officers were quick to respond to the attack, which happened in a quiet street in the north Rockhampton suburb of Park Avenue.
The alleged attackers, aged 29 and 33, were arrested at the scene.
