They'll face court on Thursday, charged with offences including acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, armed robbery, and entering a dwelling with intent.
The 33-year-old is also facing a sexual assault charge.
"There are some quite serious injuries to some of the occupants ... lacerations caused by the machetes, injuries to legs, arms and the upper torso," Detective Inspector Shadlow told ABC radio.
He said the four most seriously injured victims - two men and two women - would be undergoing surgery at the Rockhampton Base Hospital.
The other two victims, a man and a woman, were treated at the scene.
A motive for the attack remains unclear.
Neighbours have told of police descending on Macalister Street in the wake of the violence.
"It was just a sea of flashing lights, and police and the ambulance taking people away," one neighbour told the ABC.
The alleged attackers will face the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.
