A premature baby girl whose parents were killed in a car crash in Australia has died on the day of their funeral.
Lucy Schollbach was born 12 weeks premature and needed round-the-clock hospital care. Her parents, Leah and Justin, visited her in hospital in Sydney twice a day.
They were killed two weeks after she was born when their car hit a lamppost following a visit. They were only a few minutes from their home in Kurnell, southern Sydney, when their vehicle crashed.
Yesterday, on the day of her parents' funeral, 3-week-old Lucy, who weighed 1.3kg at birth, died.
Doctors at the Royal Hospital for Women complications associated with her premature birth caused her death.
