Low support for carbon tax

Australian voters continue to turn away from Prime Minister Julia Gillard's proposed carbon tax.

A Newspoll in yesterday's Australian showed 60 per cent of voters were against the proposed carbon tax, and only 30 per cent supported it.

The poll also showed opposition to the plan was far more intense than the support for it.
