KEY POINTS:
Argentine Economy Minister Felisa Miceli has resigned after a prosecutor requested an investigation into US$64,000 ($81,750) found in her office toilet.
Despite Miceli's explanation that the money was for a down payment on a house, a prosecutor said he had "gathered enough evidence" supporting the suspicion that Miceli "failed to abide by her duties as a public official".
Miceli, 53, is the first member of President Nestor Kirchner's Cabinet to be smeared by corruption allegations.
