A bomb squad has exploded a suspicious package after commuters were evacuated from London's Angel tube station.
Police say the incident has now been stood down after they were forced to cordon off Upper Street in Islington, North London just after 6.28pm.
Panicked commuters could be seen being ushered out of Angel tube station as armed police blocked off the area, the Daily Mail reports.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard told MailOnline a controlled explosion had been carried out by bomb disposal experts and the incident had been stood down shortly afterwards.
A spokesman said: "We were dealing with a suspect package in Islington. A controlled explosion was carried out, and the incident was stood down at 7.34pm."
