Police in London have released footage of a shocking road rage incident last month in which a cyclist violently headbutted a pedestrian after running a red light.
The assault, captured on CCTV, took place on Farringdon Street on August 22 at around 1.45pm. City of London Police released the video on Tuesday in an appeal to the public to help them identify the attacker.
In the video, the victim can be seen walking across the road when the cyclist runs through a red light and nearly collides with him. The pair exchange words before and the cyclist gets off his bike and walks back towards the man.
They stand nose-to-nose for a moment before the cyclist violently headbutts the man and pushes him backwards. The victim falls to the ground and lands heavily on his outstretched arm.
