KEY POINTS:
Supermarket workers unpacking bananas in the Netherlands found 50 kilograms of cocaine - up to four million euros' worth (9.8 million dollars) hidden in the crates, police said.
A "logistical error" caused the drug to be left in with the fruit instead of being removed after its journey from Latin America, the ANP news agency quoted police as saying.
The cocaine was found last month at two supermarkets in the southeastern towns of Hoensbroek and Brunssum.
