It's time for round two as the US Presidential Election gets into its final weeks - US President Barack Obama is taking on Republican challenger Mitt Romney in a debate today in Hamstead, New York, starting at 2pm NZ time.
In a relative rarity in modern presidential debates, the media and public alike pretty much crowned Romney the winner of the first debate, with Obama criticised in many corners for a listless, subdued performance. Many of the leading American polls have shown big gains for Romney in the fortnight since the first debate, meaning Obama will have a lot to gain from a strong performance tonight.
