Eleven children were killed and 85 injured when lightning struck a school in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Pupils at a school for 200 students in Bikoro in the northwest suffered burns or electric shock when the thunderbolt hit late last week. "Twenty-five of the 85 injured are in a coma," a United Nations official said yesterday. "Most of the others have second-degree burns."
