PERTH - Heath Ledger's father has called on his brothers to stop commenting publicly on issues involving the late actor, including his will.
A three-page will lodged with a Manhattan court was written three years before Ledger's daughter Matilda was born and leaves his entire estate to his parents and sister, News Limited newspapers have reported.
Ledger's uncles, Mike and Haydn, have warned Ledger's former fiancee Michelle Williams and her father, Larry, not to trust their brother, Kim Ledger.
The pair accused him of having mismanaged their grandfather's estate.
"I'm concerned for Matilda. I have concerns about the distribution of funds," Hadyn Ledger told News Ltd.
"We spoke to Larry about Kim and his ability to manage Matilda's assets," Mike Ledger said.
Kim Ledger, who is currently in Los Angeles, today released another statement through a family spokeswoman, Adene Cassidy, on the Seven Network.
"It is sad at this extremely difficult time in our lives, while we are grieving the loss of our beloved son that estranged family members publicly discuss matters they have not been privy to in the past or now," Ms Cassidy said.
"We hope for Matilda's sake they will remain dignified."
Kim Ledger said in an earlier statement that his granddaughter and Ms Williams would not be forgotten.
"Matilda is our absolute priority, and Michelle is an integral part of our family," the statement read.
"They will be taken care of and that's how Heath would want it to be."
Heath Ledger died in January from an apparent drug overdose in his New York apartment.
