KEY POINTS:
BRITISH COLUMBIA - The lawyer for a pig farmer accused of being Canada's worst serial killer opened the defence's final arguments by denying the man ever confessed to killing six women.
Robert "Willie" Pickton went on trial in January on the first six of 26 charges of first-degree murder he faces in the deaths of women, most from a seedy Vancouver neighbourhood.
Prosecutors said early in the trial that 58-year-old Pickton told an undercover officer he killed 49 women and was caught before he could reach 50. The defence has acknowledged the remains of six women were found on his farm, but says Pickton was not responsible in their deaths.
