A magnitude 7 earthquake has struck off Vanuatu, however a tsunami warning has not yet been issued.
The quake struck at 9.55am local time (10.55am NZT), 122km southeast of Isangel, Tanna, at a depth of 132km, the United States Geological Survey reported.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has not issued a tsunami warning, and does not expected a "destructive Pacific-wide tsunami" to have been generated by the quake.
