Parts of Los Angeles are the most polluted in the United States, shoving aside Houston and the San Joaquin Valley in California as the national smog capital in 2005.
Despite having cleaner air this year than last, a study showed that air quality in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties exceeded the Government smog standard on 84 days this year.
