Prime Minister John Key got to meet President Barack Obama twice as 160-plus world leaders attended the United Nations in New York, over climate change last week.
But photos released by the US State Department give a glimpse of just how staged meetings with an American President can be.
The photos – released by the US State Department on their flickr stream – show Michele and Barack Obama in almost identical positions as a parade of leaders stand with them.
The Huffington Post even ran a competition asking readers who they thought the Obamas liked best, based on their smiles.
The photos raise all sorts of questions, like did the President and First Lady actually move during the encounters and can you name the world leaders
