A collision between a passenger bus and a trailer killed 29 people and wounded two dozen others yesterday on one of Kenya's main roads. A police spokesman said it was unclear what caused the crash shortly after midnight on the road between the capital, Nairobi, and the coastal city of Mombasa.
The death toll could rise, as eight of the 24 people hurt had suffered serious injuries.
