SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) The son of a U.S. federal court judge accused of killing his wife has been released from a Puerto Rico hospital to receive physical therapy.
Pablo Casellas Toro had been hospitalized for more than a month for undisclosed reasons.
Defense attorney Harry Padilla told reporters Wednesday that Casellas will undergo therapy for an undetermined amount of time to improve his motor skills after his extended hospital stay.
The insurance broker is accused of fatally shooting Carmen Paredes Cintron in their upscale home in July 2012. He has denied the accusations.
Casellas is the son of U.S. District Court Judge Salvador Casellas, a former Puerto Rico treasury secretary. He remains free on $4 million bond.
