A Chinese man's desire to see George W. Bush in Washington got him in trouble with police - so much so they blew up his luggage. SWAT officers called to the Capitol tackled the 33-year-old and dragged him away from the scene after he failed to respond to a police order to move.
After three hours of tests and x-rays, one of his bags - which appeared to contain suspicious wiring - was water-cannoned and destroyed while the other was hand-searched.
The wires seen on x-rays, however, turned out to be nothing more than the insides of a CD player. The incident led police to evacuate the West Lawn and briefly bar tourists from the Capitol for fear of a possible explosion. The man - who was unresponsive to English - was charged with disobeying a police order.
It's a case of crossed wires for SWAT team
