Somalia's al-Qaeda-linked Islamists banned 16 Western aid agencies yesterday from the centre of the country, claiming they were "fostering secularism" and "amplifying the refugee crisis".
Armed men forced their way into aid offices in the towns of Baidoa and Wajid and removed computers, files and supplies, witnesses reported.
