KEY POINTS:
A new poll showed growing support for the European Union's reform treaty in Ireland ahead of a second referendum.
The Irish Times/TNS mrbi poll showed 51 per cent would vote "Yes", an increase of eight points since November, with 33 per cent saying "No", a drop of six points. Sixteen per cent said they did not know how they would vote. That compared with last June's referendum result of 53.4 per cent against and 46.6 per cent in favour.
The Government said the vote would happen before the end of October.
