Iraqi police thwart freedom dash

Iraqi police have arrested the country's former Trade Minister at Baghdad airport after forcing his plane to turn back in mid-air as he tried to flee to Dubai.

Abdul Falah al-Sudani has been at the centre of a growing corruption scandal involving the loss of millions of dollars on import deals for Iraq's food rationing system.
