Ali, the 12-year-old Iraqi boy whose photo moved the world after he lost his family and his arms in a bombing of Baghdad, may end up moving to Canada, where an Ontario physician hopes to adopt him.
Ali is making a slow but steady recovery from his burns at the Al-Babtain Hospital in Kuwait, where he is out of intensive care and walking on his own.
And he soon could have the chance to go to Canada, invited by the Canadian Government.
Father of three Falath Hafuth, an Iraqi-born emergency care physician at Cambridge Hospital west of Toronto, wrote to Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien to ask if the boy could be brought to Canada.
