BAGHDAD - Iraq's electoral commission said today it would announce certified results of the December 15 parliamentary polls this weekend.
Unofficial final results announced last month showed the main religious Shi'ite bloc and the Kurdish alliance still dominant but falling short of the two-thirds majority needed to form a government on their own.
Sunni Arab parties, who boycotted last January's election, won 58 of parliament's 275 seats.
All three major groups have yet to start talks on forming a government nearly two months after the polls.
