Iran will not ship its low-enriched uranium out of the country for processing, its Foreign Minister Manochehr Mottaki said, again rejecting a United Nations plan to thwart any attempt by Tehran to make nuclear weapons.
Mottaki's proposal is certain to fall short of Western demands.
"We will definitely not send our 3.5 per cent enriched uranium out of the country," Mottaki said, but added: "That means a simultaneous fuel swap could be considered inside Iran."
