DAKAR - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said yesterday that he believed the dispute over his country's nuclear programme could be resolved through negotiations.
"We believe that we can resolve the problems in a context of dialogue and of justice together," Ahmadinejad told a news conference during a visit to Senegal's capital, Dakar.
The United States has said Iran was "aggressively" pursuing atomic bombs and should face sanctions now, but EU allies said it was not too late for talks.
A meeting between EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana and Iranian negotiator Ali Larijani, set to be held yesterday, has been postponed.
