Moira Gow of Lyon and Turnbull auctioneers studies a wax death mask of Mary Queen of Scots made in 1587 after her execution and used to preserve her features forever.
It is part of the Treasures of Lennoxlove Castle exhibition in Edinburgh. Her sapphire ring is also on show.
