Inmates take over unit

A group of inmates took control of an accommodation unit at Risdon Prison in Hobart after overpowering a prison officer.

 The Tasmanian Prison Service Tactical Response group was called to the prison. The rest of the jail had been secured so that the group posed no risk to other staff or inmates.
