JAKARTA - Two Indonesian men have been formally detained as suspects in the deadly blasts in Bali that killed more than 180 people, the national police spokesman said today.
"Yes, we're afraid they might run away so they had to be detained," Saleh Saaf said of the two who have been interrogated since Sunday.
"They have caused difficulties related to the investigation," Saleh Saaf told Reuters, when asked if they had been declared suspects. He declined to elaborate.
No group has claimed responsibility for Saturday's blasts, that killed mostly foreign tourists, but on Monday Indonesia for the first time linked Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network to the explosions.
