She may be Australia's most powerful woman but Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard says she's still "just Julia".
Asked how her life had changed in the three months since Labor's election win, Ms Gillard said she had not noticed any difference in the way people treated her.
"One of the great things about the Australian people is their informality so, as I travel around this country, I'm still just Julia," Ms Gillard told Asian business news channel CNBC on Monday.
"People barrel up and have a conversation.
"And whether they'll be small school children or whether they'll be people who are of working age and want to have a chat about industrial relations or whether they be older Australians, everybody still calls you Julia.
"People call the prime minister Kevin and I think that's terrific."
Ms Gillard said Australians did not have a real sense of hierarchy.
"We have a sense that we're all in this together," she said.
