NEPAL - A doctor suspected of running an illegal organ transplant racket in India has been nabbed in Nepal.
Associated Press reports that Amit Kumar - who allegedly removed hundreds of kidneys, including some from unwilling donors - has been arrested at a resort in Chitwan, south of Kathmandu.
It is thought that he is the mastermind behind an operation that has run for nearly a decade, selling kidneys to people who travelled to New Delhi from around the world.
Kumar had $296,000 in cash with him.
