Human remains found in a Melbourne backyard more than four days ago are still yet to be formally confirmed as those of missing property developer Herman Rockefeller.
No death notices have been placed by family members in newspapers and no obituaries about the property investor have appeared.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman confirmed the body was yet to be identified.
Testing by forensics experts of the remains might take several days, Homicide Detective Senior Sergeant Stuart Bateson said last week.
A spokesman for the Rockefeller family would not comment.
Police have charged two people, Mario Schembri, 57, and Bernadette Denny, 41, with murdering Mr Rockefeller at Ms Denny's home.
The body of the 52-year-old father of two from Malvern East is believed to have been found in a junk-strewn suburban backyard in Glenroy, in Melbourne's north, last Friday, eight days after he was reported missing on January 21.
The Herald Sun has claimed Mr Rockefeller may have been using erotic websites to find partners in Melbourne's swingers network.
The newspaper reported that an ad believed placed by Mr Rockefeller has emerged in an underground swingers magazine.
The Herald Sun said it found an advertisement published several months ago in a magazine used by swinging couples to contact each other.
A phone number called by the Herald Sun indicates it is one of Mr Rockefeller's pre-paid mobile phones.
The newspaper says Mr Rockefeller, 51, appears to have lied about his age in the advertisement, which seeks a couple in their "late 30s" seeking sex.
An explicit picture depicts a woman and a man having intercourse, while the ad refers to an "attractive, sexy, uninhibited" couple.
