Howard rules out apologising over asylum seekers

Prime Minister John Howard has ruled out apologising to Indonesia for granting temporary protection visas to 42 Papuan asylum seekers.

Howard says Australia has nothing to apologise for over the decision, which caused relations between the two nations to plunge to their lowest since the East Timor crisis in 1999.
