The white Range Rover Revere was left daubed with graffiti in a road behind the upmarket department store in London's Knightsbridge on Wednesday, apparently branding its owner a cheat.
With the words "cheater", "it's over" and "hope she was worth it!" sprayed in red paint on its sides and bonnet, it appears to be an attempt to publicly humiliate him.
And it didn't take long for pictures of the Revere to be posted on Twitter, attracting hundreds of retweets:
