Honour for Connolly

Comedian Billy Connolly is set to receive the Freedom of the City in Glasgow next month.

After more than 30 years on stage the actor is expected to be recognised for his contributions to comedy, film, music and charities.

Connolly was born and raised in Glasgow where he began his working life in the shipyards, which he said was great training for a life as a comedian.
