Hollywood has secured its first conviction against camcorder-toters who tape films in cinemas and then upload them to the internet.
The Motion Picture Association of America hailed the conviction of Curtis Salisbury, who used his video-camera to tape Bewitched and The Perfect Man this year and then uploaded them to the internet for illegal sharing.
Salisbury faces up to five years in jail and a US$250,000 ($368,700) fine.
