Santa Clara County in California will pay US$990,000 ($1.4 million) to the San Jose chapter of Hells Angels whose dogs were killed by police during a raid.
During raids in 1998 to investigate a murder at a local strip club, police shot three dogs.
Karen Snell, lawyer for the Hells Angels, said: "They were beloved pets. They were very, very close to the families and the families were devastated."
