Hot, blustery conditions have sparked more than 40 fires across Victoria. Grass and scrub fires were fanned by strong winds and 30C temperatures.
The worst fire was in the Grampians National Park. A
total fire ban has been declared for northwestern Victoria - the earliest in the bushfire season that a total fire ban has ever been declared.
