A computer-games enthusiast who travelled from his home in Germany to Britain to kill a student whose girlfriend he had become obsessed with, has been found guilty of murder.
David Heiss, a 21-year-old office worker, stabbed Matthew Pyke 86 times.
He had become infatuated with Joanna Witton, 21, after meeting her via an internet gaming website she ran with Pyke.
Heiss forced his way in to the Nottingham flat Pyke and Witton shared and stabbed him as he lay cowering in the corner.
In his last moments Pyke, 20, had written DAV, the first three letters of Heiss's first name, in his own blood on the side of his computer to alert police.
