Police in Costa Rica arrested a leftist Colombian guerrilla leader yesterday wanted in connection with dozens of murders and suspected of running a drug and arms smuggling operation. Agents captured Hector Orlando Martinez, a suspected leader of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia. Martinez, 38, is wanted for his part in the killing of dozens of police and civilians in Colombia and is implicated in an attack on a church in 2002 where 84 people, including 46 children, were killed.
