Guantanamo Bay detainees clash

Detainees at the United States detention centre at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, have clashed at least 16 times, documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act show.

One man claims fellow prisoners have beaten him because he practises a different form of Islam than the majority at the camp.

In one incident, two detainees fought after one accused the other of lying to interrogators about him.

In another, detainees threw water and faeces at each other in a dispute that began when one sang during the evening Muslim prayer call.
