Democratic Party leaders have asked New York Governor David Paterson to consider withdrawing from the 2010 Governor's race, according to Democratic advisers.
Sources said it was unclear what Paterson would do.
The New York Times said that President Barack Obama had asked Paterson to withdraw. Paterson's popularity has plummeted.
