Glenn Beck has made his exit from Fox News Channel, saying he was determined "to his last breath" to fix this country.
The commentator, who burned bright and burned fast at Fox, is going into business for himself.
He'll begin streaming a daily two-hour show on his own internet network, GBTV, to paying customers in September.
Fox, meanwhile, said that after a week of Beck reruns it will replace him with a series called The Five, bringing various Fox personalities together to debate issues of the day.
Beck's last show was a lengthy live monologue.
"I didn't run away from something. I'm running to something. I know exactly where I'm supposed to be," he said of his Fox exit.
