Harriet the Galapagos Island giant land tortoise, today celebrates her 175th birthday.
Harriet, who was taken to England by naturalist Charles Darwin in 1835, has spent the past 18 years as a star attraction at Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo at Beerwah, north of Brisbane.
For more than a century of her life she was known as Harry until it was belatedly discovered she was actually a female.
