An 84.37 carat white diamond has sold for over $US16m ($21m) at a Sotheby's auction in Geneva.
AFP reports that the stone is the 'largest purest white flawless brilliant cut diamond to ever appear at auction'.
The massive diamond was purchased by Guess clothing founder Georges Marciano.
