Germany: Support for memorial

Germany has given €60 million ($121 million) to a global fund that aims to preserve the site of the Nazi Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp in Poland.

The Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum said the money represented half the total it needs to ensure the future of the site as a permanent memorial to the Nazis' victims.
