A flying frozen sausage broke the nose of a British driver.
The man was driving home from work in Essex, near London, when he was struck by the sausage after it came through the wound-down window of his car, the AP news agency reported.
An ambulance spokesman was quoted assaying that the man, aged 46, suddenly felt severe pain in his nose. He suffered a fracture and lost a significant amount of blood.
"It must have been an incredibly lucky, or unlucky, shot to get the sausage through a moving car window. I have never seen or heard of anything like this before," AP quoted the spokesman as saying.
