A flying frozen sausage broke the nose of a British driver.
The man was driving home from work in Essex, near London, when he was struck by the sausage after it came through the wound-down window of his car, the AP news agency reported.
An ambulance spokesman was quoted as saying that the man, aged 46, suddenly felt severe pain in his nose. He suffered a fracture and lost a significant amount of blood.
"It must have been an incredibly lucky, or unlucky, shot to get the sausage through a moving car window. I have never seen or heard of anything like this before," AP quoted the spokesman as saying.
Police are looking into the incident.
