Cambodian officials say a fresh outbreak of bird flu has been confirmed in ducks in eastern Cambodia.
Tests have confirmed the deadly H5N1 virus in live and dead ducks in the Bateay district of the eastern province of Kampong Cham, where 700 birds died last week.
The H5N1 bird fluvirus has killed more than 140 people worldwide, including six in Cambodia.
Senior agriculture official, Yim Voeunthan, said any living ducks in the area were to be culled to stop the virus from spreading.
An outbreak of bird flu at a nearby village killed nearly 2000 ducks in August.
