France and China have signed billions of euros' worth of business deals on a state visit by China's President Hu Jintao to France.
China will spend €10 billion on 102 Airbus planes.
China also signed telecoms and nuclear deals. Activists argued that China's human rights record was being ignored in the rush to sign the contracts.
France's President Nicolas Sarkozy received Hu with full military honours, and has laid on an extravagant programme of events and ceremonies.
