KEY POINTS:
BRISBANE - Four people killed in a collision between two boats on Brisbane's Moreton Bay have yet to be named.
Police say the process of formally identifying the victims - two men, a woman and a child thought to be about 8 years old - could take days.
All four - three of them from the same family - were aboard a 5.5m pleasure craft involved in the collision with a 7m cruiser on Saturday, 2km from Pinkenbah.
Another three people were critically injured and remain in the Royal Brisbane Hospital while seven others suffered minor injuries.
The 17-year-old skipper of the bigger boat was the only one of the 15 people aboard the boats to escape injury.
He was breath tested and police say the result came back negative.
Forensic Crash Unit officers began examining both vessels yesterday.
A large number of pleasure craft were on the Brisbane River at the time for the annual Riverfire fireworks festival.
