Chinese police have arrested a former Member of Parliament suspected of raping 36 underage girls.
Wu Tianxi, 61, from the poor central province of Henan, is accused of targeting girls aged between 12 and 16, the Southern Metropolis Daily said in a report on its website, nddaily.com.
Wu became a delegate to the National People's Congress in 1998.
