The sons of a late Tongan Prince Tu'ipelehake, killed in a California freeway crash last year, have sued Ford Motor Co, the Associated Press (AP) reports.
The lawsuit claims Ford knew the 1998 Ford Explorer carrying Tongan Prince Tu'ipelehake, 55, his wife, Princess Kaimana Aleamotu'a Tuku'aho, 46 and their driver, Vinisia Hefa, 36, had a "tendency to trip, roll over or flip in turning manoeuvres."
Vakafuhu Tu'ifua, 12, and Osaiasi Tu'ipulotu, 34, the prince's sons, claim the Ford Explorer was primarily responsible for their father's and mother's death, according to AP.
A Ford spokesperson said the company had not seen the lawsuit today and could not comment on it.
